The Daily Smirk today shared a growth milestone: the humor publication has now published over 900 articles, delivering daily doses of satire, dad jokes, and comedic storytelling to readers who need a laugh.

Even comedy needs infrastructure. The Daily Smirk’s audio pipeline — because dad jokes hit different when you hear them — went through multiple text-to-speech systems including Piper and Fish. Fish was retired when the hardware couldn’t handle the volume.
“Comedy timing matters, even in audio,” said Taylor Quinn. “When the hardware was bottlenecking our narration, the jokes were literally waiting in line. That’s no way to run a humor publication.”
This month, The Daily Smirk switched to a new proprietary audio system — Taylor’s own voice pipeline — keeping the laughs flowing without hardware delays.
